University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Veterinary Medicine graduate Bruce Cavanaugh has been named the 2018 Faculty Alumni Award recipient. He has been practicing in the Kansas City area since 1989 and has been director of veterinary medicine at Cavanagh Pet Hospital since 2000.
During my third year of clinical rotation, I worked at the Green Summit Animal Clinic and knew it would be a great practice for me to participate in.
After a few years there, I worked in a veterinary practice, where I stayed until I felt the need to open my own clinic. My unique character, skills and thirst for knowledge finally enabled me to work at the Green Summit Animal Clinic for the rest of my bachelor and master years. I then attended the University of Missouri, where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine with a minor in animal science in 2018. After graduation, my wife and I moved to Trenton, Missouri, where we founded our own veterinary clinic, the Blue Ridge Veterinary Clinic.

As a child Kelley can remember her love for animals, especially dogs, and she knew from a young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She started volunteering at a local veterinary clinic after high school and practiced at the Blue Ridge Veterinary Clinic before joining the Green Summit Animal Clinic in January 2005. In 2004, Lindquist took a giant leap and opened her first clinic in Edina for people in the area who want better medical care for their animals. Maybe "farm" is not the right word, maybe we have a zoo, but I love animals and especially our dogs.

The shelter is part of the University of Missouri Shelter Medicine Program, which promotes well-groomed dogs and improves their adoption potential.
Dr. Fleischmann enjoys building relationships and educating clients about the best way to care for their pets. I am blessed to work with such a great staff and have found myself as a receptionist helping customers and their pets.
He mentored prospective veterinarians by offering external internships to CVM students seeking practical help - based on experience in veterinary medicine. Graduates of the program can take the State Veterinary Examination (VTNE) to qualify as a licensed veterinary practitioner.
